FIL-AM girls, ages from 5 to 9 years old, compete annually to become the Little Miss Fil-Am. It is a competition for these girls where they develop their talents, confidence and attitude about making friends and sportsmanship. The girls are taught to dance, model, handle questions, shows their talents and overcome stage fright. The association hands out trophies, sashes, crowns and cash prizes to the winners.

AWARDING AND CROWNING

The awards, trophies and crowns were given by Pres. Rica Derosier and Asst. Treas. Malou Hamto. This year, aside from giving awards to the titleholder and runner-ups, Miss Congeniality, Miss Photogenic and Best in Gown, Viewer's Choice awardee is also selected, where audience will vote for their favorite candidate.

The programme was hosted by Committee Chair and Asst. Sec. Pat dela Rosa and co-emcee Edwin Licup.

Little Miss Fil-Am 2007 MADISYN BRILLO did her final walk as Little Miss Fil-Am.

THE CANDIDATES

	ALEXANDRIA P. BOREMAN - is 9 years old, a 4th grade student at Adventist School in Oceanside. Her hobbies are Ice skating, playing Violin, computer and reading. Her parents are Glen & Marites Boreman. She sang and danced with the song titled "Behind These Hazel Eyes" 2nd runner up
	GLORIA GILES - is 8 years old, a 3rd grader at Reynolds Elementary School. She takes ballet and dance/cheer class and plays soccer in school. Her parents are Marshal & Virginia Giles. She sang " Make some noise" in the talent portion.
	MINA GILES - is 9 years old, a 3rd grader at Casita Elementary School. A yellow belt I karate, a girl scout and in Aztec dance club. Her parents are Conrad Giles and Iza Estrada. She performed an Aztec Dance. 1st runner up and Miss Photogenic
	EURICE McNEAL - is 7 years old, a 2nd grader at Nichols Elementary School. A recipient of award such as Outstanding Achievement, Olympiad, Spelling Bee and in Gymnastics. Her parents are Robert and Vangie McNeal. She sang and danced to the tune of "High School Musical"
	KELI'I McCONVILLE - is 9 years old, 4th grader at Reynolds Elementary school. She holds an Orange belt in Karate, took 1st place in sparring and 2nd place in forms last March 2008. Her parents are Tim & Dez McConville.She performed a Martial Arts Exhibition in the talent portion. 3RD runner up and Best in Gown
	ALEXA ORTEGA - is 7 years old, a 2nd grader at Libby Elementary School. Her parents are Roy and Jackie Ortega. Her hobbies are singing and dancing like Hannah Montana( she wishes to meet Miley Cyrus in person one day) and play with her dogs and cat. She sang a song titled " I hate myself for loving you". Viewer's Choice Awardee
	MELANIE L. PAGAYONAN - is 8 years old, a 2nd grader at .was recently awarded student of the month. Her hobbies are playing basketball, jump rope, and swim and hula hoop. Played main character at school play.Her parents are Richmond and Michelle Pagayonan. Dancing is her talent. Miss Congeniality
	LYVONNE PUNO - is 6 years old, a kindergarten at Calaveras Hills Elementary school. Her hobbies are singing, dancing and draw artwork. Her parents are Ernesto and Lorraine Jimenez. She sang and dance in the pageant. Little Miss Fil-Am 2008 Winner
