FILIPINO STORY TIME FOR CHILDREN
AT THE LIBRARY PATIO

During the June 12th Annual Filipino Cultural Celebration, Filipino stories and folklores are read to children at the patio courtyard of the Oceanside Public Library, from 11:00-11:30. This way, children learn more about the culture and values of the Filipinos in a very enjoyable way. Most of the books are imported from the Philippines.

Children's Library School Intern Marissa Martinez is the Courtyard storyteller sharing Rockabye Crocodile: A Folktale from the Philippines (by Jose Aruego) with children and families.

Children's Librarian Marie Town reads Alamat ng Pinya (Legend of the Pineapple), retold by Boots Agbayani-Pastor, to families in the Library Courtyard.
