Five (5) talented and beautiful young girls, age ranging from 10 - 13 years old, competed for the Miss Pre-teen Fil-Am 2010 title. They had shown during the pageant that they can sing and dance, be graceful and witty, even under pressure. Above all, they had developed not just poise, glamour and confidence in themselves but camaraderie and team work with their fellow candidates as well.

Miss Fil-Am Pre-teen AVALYN was joined by Little Miss 2010 MIKAELA together with 2010 Miss Oceanside, Miss Teen Oceanside & Princesses,

Miss Pre-teen Fil-Am 1st Runner-Up MINA GILES. She also won the awards - Miss Photogenic and Viewer's Choice.

Miss Pre-teen Fil-AM 2nd Runner-Up is JENNIFER MAGBATA who also won the Miss Congeniality award.

AWARDING AND CROWNING

Trophies, cash award and sash are given to Miss Pre-teen Fil-Am and her court. Special awards are also given like Miss Congeniality, Best Gown, Best Talent, Miss Popular and Viewer's Choice.

Judging the pageant are five (5) pageant winners themselves - (from right to left) 2010 Miss Oceanside LAURYN MOSES and Miss Teen Oceanside DEMI MUNDO and her court Miss Teen Oceanside 1st Princess JONELLE GUY, 3rd Princess JACKIE MONTANO and 2nd Princess ANGELICA ZAMORA and Miss Oceanside 2nd Princess ELISE CRUZ.

Fil-AM member ALEX TUAZON and the candidates' choreographer MOLLY YOUNG were the good emcees for the event.

Miss Pre-teen Fil-Am 2009 YDELLE SERQUINA did her farewell walk and speech before she crowns the new winner.

SPECIAL AWARDS

Each year, special awards are given to acknowledge the special talents and qualities of the candidates. The winners were awarded by 2009 Miss Pre-teen Fil-Am YDELLE SERQUINA, 2007 Miss Pre-teen Fil-Am ANGELICA TOLENTINO, Mrs. Fil-Am 2010 ROSE WALLACE, Mrs. Fil-Am 2010 1ST Runner-Up HELEN DAVILA and Miss Teen Princess JACKIE MONTANO.

Miss Congeniality is JENNIFER MAGBATA, who was chosen by her fellow candidates to win the award, was given sash and trophy.

The judges' pick for Miss Photogenic is MINA GILES for which she received sash and trophy.

Recipient of sash and trophy for Best Talent award is GLORIA GILES for song and dance interpretation of "Firefly" by Owl.

Best Gown winner is MARIA CONCEPTION who received sash and trophy for adding elegance to her fuchsia long gown.

Miss Popular winner is AVALYN DELA ROSA for selling most number of tickets and for which she will receive a trophy and cash award equivalent to 20% of her total sales.

The audience decides who will win the Viewer's Choice Award by putting their votes ($1 = 1 vote) for their respective candidates. The winning candidate will get 20% of the total votes she gathered.

PARTICIPATION AWARD

Aside from special awards, all candidates received participation trophies in appreciation for their time and hard work in joining the pageant . No one will go home empty handed.

THE CANDIDATES

MARIA VERONICA CONCEPTION is 13 years old from Vista, CA. She's currently in 6th grade at Madison Middle School. She was a participant at Breeze Hill Elementary Talent Show, a recipient of Coyote Star award in 2008 and a contract winner award at American Mall Model Search in 2009. Her talent is to sing a song titled "Only Hope" by Mandy Moore PROUD PARENTS: Tess Conception Best in Gown	MINA GILES is 11 years old from Oceanside, CA. She is currently a 6th grader at Vista Magnet Middle School. She started as a Brownie in Girl Scouts and is now a Cadet. She competed in two Hip Hop Dancing Events in year 2009 and 2010. She also plays volleyball, a member of Drama Club and International club at Vista Magnet Middle School. Her talent is to dance to the song titled "Rock that Body" by Black Eyed Peas PROUD PARENTS: Vicky & Marshal Giles 1st RUNNER-UP MISS PHOTOGENIC VIEWER'S CHOICE
AVALYN DELA ROSA 10 years old from Oceanside,CA. She's currently a 4th grader at Lake Elementary School. She's an honor student and she recently participated in Lake Elementary School Talent show. She was a Girls Scout from 206-2008. She was a recipient of Student Discipline Award at New Venture Christian School in 2008. Her talent is to sing a song titled "Paparazzi" by Lady Gaga PROUD PARENTS: Maryanne Trinidad MISS PRE-TEEN FIL-AM 2010 MISS POPULAR	GLORIA GILES 10 years old from Oceanside,CA. She's currently a 5th grader at Laurel Elementary School. She plays softball. She enjoys playing violin, singing and dancing. Her talent is to sing and dance to the song titled " Firefly" by Owl City PROUD PARENTS: Conrad & Iza Giles BEST TALENT
JENNIFER MAGBATA12 years old from Oceanside,CA. She's currently a 7th grader at Jefferson Middle School. She's in track and field, basketball, advance dance and a tutor/teachers assistant. She likes to sing, dance and draw. She won 3rd place in the 200 meter dash run. Her talent is to dance to the tune of " Eenie Minnie" by Justin Bieber PROUD PARENTS: Emma & Alan Magbata 2ND RUNNER UP MISS CONGENIALITY

BEST GOWN COMPETITION and QUESTION-AND-ANSWER PORTION

Simplicity is beauty. The candidates wore simple but elegant gowns that just accentuated their beauty and charm. In the interview portion, the candidates showed undoubtedly their wit, composure and confidence when they answered the questions they randomly picked. This is where the candidates' poise, grace and personality are taken into account by the judges.

MARIA VERONICA CONCEPTION in her simple but elegant fuchsia gown that made her garner the Best Gown award.

MINA GILES is exceptionally beautiful as well.

AVALYN DELA ROSA's charm is irresistible in her well-designed gown.

GLORIA GILES' beauty is something to remember.

REHEARSALS AT THE PARK

The candidates spent numerous weekends at the Luiseno Park in Vandegrift Blvd. cor. Douglas Dr in Oceanside, California, to learn their group dance, modeling and to develop self-confidence in public speaking by introducing themselves to the audience and handling interviews.

THE CHOREOGRAPHER - MOLLY YOUNG

Molly Young is 18 years old and a recent graduate from Fallbrook High School. She was the Cheer Captain of the Fallbrook High School (FHS) Cheerleading Team and was also the Team Captain/Choreographer of the FHS Dance Team. She had many years of experience in competitive dance.
