On August 23, 2008, the annual summer picnic was held at the Luiseno Park in Douglas Drive cor. Vandegrift Blvd, in Oceanside, CA, from 12 noon - 4 PM. The association provided the main dishes and drinks while some members also brought in their favorite desserts and Filipino dishes. It was a successful event because of many people who came and renew their membership, and also there were new members who registered. It was also the day that the FIL-AM scholar was awarded his prize. It was an afternoon of great food, camaraderie, games and fun!!!

It was a gathering of friends, family, and loved ones - young and old! This is what this event is all about - meet new friends, spend time with family and old acquaintances, and just enjoy the sunny day, sumptuous food and the camaraderie!
