There's no better
way of celebrating Mother's Day than going to FIL-AM's 5th MOTHER'S
DAY DELIGHT celebration, HAWAIIAN way, on May 7, 2011 at Abby Reinke
Community Center in Camp Pendleton, Oceanside, California, from
5:00 to 11:00 pm. Attendance was good, abundance of luscious food
and lots and lots of entertainment. There were dance presentations
of Hawaiian, Zumba and Philippine folkdance Tinikling. To top it
all, there were games and prizes for mothers. It was a very successful
event enjoyed by all - kids, teens, parents and grandparents!!
It all started with set-up and
preparation by the Committee, officers, members and volunteers.!
Food was lip-smacking!!

Zumba presentation by Zumba instructor Jan Saddington and her group.
Members joined in and burned some calories!!
Hawaiian dance, choreographed
by Tony Lime, showed how cute and graceful the FIL-AM kids are
and the Tinikling dance that
requires speed, grace and skills was awesome to watch!
Some Mrs. Fil-Am 2011 candidates
who attended were presented by Mrs. Fil-Am Chair Wendy Thrower and
Mrs. Fil-Am 2010 Rose Wallace.
There were games and prizes,
too, to give out for everyone's delight!! Votes were cast for Oldest
Mother, Youngest Mother, Best Dressed Mother, Most Talented Mother,
Mother of the Night, and so forth...
