Fil-Am girls as young as 4 ½ years old to 8 years old joined the Little Miss Fil-Am 2009 Pageant this year. It is a competition that develops the talents, confidence, poise and values of the candidates. For these girls, this is not really a competition but an exercise where they have fun, make new friends, learn new dance steps and learn how to talk in front of people and walk like a lady.

AWARDING AND CROWNING


Trophies, sash, tiara and cash prizes await the winners. The awards given out this year are the Little Miss Fil-am 2009, 1st runner up, 2nd runner up and special awards like Miss Congeniality, Miss Photogenic, Best Talent, Best Gown, Viewers Choice Award, and Most Popular which is based on the most no. of ticket sales.


Judges enjoyed doing their tasks as these young girls never failed to amaze them with their wits and talents!


Asst. Auditor Edwin Licup and Social Chair Pat dela Rosa hosted the event and gave each candidate the support they need.


2008 Little Miss Fil-Am Yvonne Puno gave her final walk and speechas
her reign ends.

2009 Little Miss Fil-Am Melanie Pagayonan is crowned by 2008 Little Miss Yvone Puno. She was also given trophy, sash and bouquet by their choreographer Danielle Tuazon. Aside from these, she will be receiving $250.00 cash prize.


First runner up Jeanelle Serquina received sash and trophy, and will receive a cash prize of $150.00


Second runner up Eurice McNeal received sash and trophy, and will be given $100 cash prize.

SPECIAL AWARDS


All the special awardees receive sash and trophy but for Miss Popular and Viewer's Choice, they receive trophy and 10% cash value for total ticket sales and 10% cash value for total votes, respectively.

PRE-PAGEANT: GIRLS AT WORK OR PLAY?

To join the Little Miss Fil-Am 2009 contest also calls for discipline and dedication from these girls. They are taught to model, talk with confidence and improve their poise in about 6 weeks. They also have to learn their dance steps. As you can see from these pictures, they are not just learning but they are having fun as well!
