The Oceanside Library and Friends of the Oceanside Library had provided wonderful crafts for children to do at the patio of the library during the June 12th event from 10 AM - 4:00 PM. The crafts that the children were able to do are painting of fans (FAN PAINTING), painting the sun as depicted in the Philippine flag (SUN CRAFT), painting capiz which are oyster shells indiginous to the Philippines and then putting magnets behind it (SHELL MAGNETS) and coloring pages of different Philippine national heroes and Philippine costumes. These artistic activities help the kids understand and appreciate more the Philippine culture and history.
